PAST EVENTS:
-- On December 6th we had a gathering at the park at 6:00pm for the lighting of the Christmas tree
and lights in the park! We had a small drawing to select one lucky child who
got to turn on all of the lights for the first time. This
year's winner was a young cousin of the Bartlett family who was up
visiting for the holidays from Texas.
-- Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10:00am Christmas lights will be hung in the park. Please join us if you can!
-- An American flag will be donated by the Orland American Legion for the park.
-- A well was installed in the park during the month of October. A wishing well and some landscaping will be done around the top of the well to protect it.
-- The park pavilion now has electricity!
-- The park now features a basketball court, pavilion with picnic
tables, a large swing set, a may pole, and several bouncy rides for
children.
-- The MCDA members Tammy and Larry worked alongside a couple of Amish
contractors to build a playset with slides and
climbing for the kids shortly before the Pigeon Riverfest this year. Feel free
to join us at a meeting if interested you are interested in helping with
park projects. Stop by and enjoy the park!
-- The Chinese Auction was held in the park on September 26th, 2009 at
4:00pm. Donated items were auctioned off and proceeds went
to benefit the park. There are still items to be purchased for the
park, but the auction definitely helped!
Please check back often for updates on association projects, community events, and other fun topics!
